How to add a site

Discover how to to use Windsock to quickly add a site using two different methods - searching and pin dropping.

App Version

This requires Windsock version 3.2 and above. You can find your app version by going to Settings > About.

Steps

Press and Hold Method

  1. Launch Windsock
  2. Navigate around the map by swiping and pinching to zoom
  3. Press your finger down firmly until a pin drops down

Search Method

  1. Launch Windsock
  2. Tap on the + button in top right hand corner of the screen
  3. Tap Search for location
  4. In the search box that appears start typing your location. The results will auto-complete as you start typing.
  5. Tap on your desired location in the list below
  6. Confirm or change the name of your new site
  7. Tap Done in the top right corner of the screen

Tip: You can use Emoji in a site's name
